What we collect
Best AI Match is a static site. There are no accounts and no forms that store data.
The short version: we collect no names or emails, run every calculator entirely in your browser, and use Google Analytics 4 only as described below.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with Google Consent Mode. Before you make a choice, GA4 may send cookieless measurement pings with analytics and advertising storage denied, and no analytics cookies are set. If you choose 'Allow analytics', GA4 sets first-party analytics cookies that expire after 60 days, and advertising signals stay off. If you choose 'Reject', GA4 stops immediately and nothing further is sent to Google. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, GA4 is never loaded. You can change your choice at any time using the 'Change analytics choice' link in the site footer.
Before you make a choice, Google Analytics may send basic cookieless signals (such as the page viewed and a click on a provider link). These don't set cookies and aren't used to identify you, although, as with any web request, your IP address and browser type reach Google. Google uses them to estimate total traffic. If you choose Reject, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is sent.
We do not send names, emails, the text you type, or the full address of the provider link you click (only its domain). Your IP address is sent to Google so the request can be delivered; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension. We have turned off Google signals and advertising personalisation. Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) is used to count page views and clicks on provider “Visit” buttons, so we can see which comparisons are useful. It sets first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> that expire after 2 months, and we keep analytics reports for 2 months.
What we store (Cookies & your choice)
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are respected: if your browser sends either signal, Google Analytics is never loaded.
The choice is stored in this browser under the key bm-ga4-consent-v1. Analytics cookies are set only after you choose Allow analytics, and they expire after 2 months.
Your browser also stores up to three preferences on this device only: ai-theme (light or dark mode), ai-cmp-mode (your comparison table view) and ai-cmp-remember (whether to remember that view). If you don't ask it to remember the view, ai-cmp-mode is kept only until you close the tab instead.
The calculators
The token cost calculator and match engine run entirely client-side in JavaScript. The volumes, tasks and preferences you enter are never transmitted anywhere — there are no API calls and nothing is logged.
What we don't do
- No email capture or newsletter signup.
- No advertising cookies.
- No selling of data.
- No account system or login.
Outbound links
When you click through to a provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others), you leave our site and that provider's own privacy policy applies. We currently earn nothing from these links — see our ethics policy.
Hosting & logs
The site is served as static files via Netlify. Standard server access logs (such as IP address and request time) may be processed by the host for security and delivery, as with any website. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
